Design

We employ seven full-time in-house electronic design engineers, providing new and ongoing design services to our customers.

Our design engineers are assisted by front-end PCB layout and CAD technicians who provide schematic capture, PCB layout and technical drawing, to support the product design through to manufacturing requirements.

We work with our customers on new product concepts, product specification, electronic circuit design, PCB layout, prototyping, approvals and mechanical and enclosure design.

The design team provide embedded and PC software skills and write in several programming languages appropriate to the project in hand.

Due to the diverse nature of our customers, we have built up a broad knowledge and skills base covering many types of technologies. Please review some of our case studies to give you a flavour of some of the projects we have worked on recently.

Because our design team work closely with their manufacturing colleagues, we have a strong understanding of the principles behind cost effective design for manufacture. This allows the seamless transfer of your product between these two important disciplines. This is a key point when dealing with separate designers and manufacturers where assumptions of each others’ capabilities and responsibilities are often made, which can lead to disappointment and delays.
