Gas Safety Shut-Off System

A reseller of gas safety shut-off systems came to Northern Hi-Tec to commission the design and manufacture of their own product.

Potential patent infringement and tight production cost targets were potential barriers to this project. Northern Hi-Tec successfully designed and developed a range of cost-effective products, providing automatic and manual gas safety shut-off for laboratory and catering installations. This was all achieved without infringing any of the patents held by competitors' products.

The systems are based around standard plastic control enclosures and the project included the design and manufacture of all the required labels and overlays, as well as the design and supply of the appropriate wiring assemblies and sensors to provide a complete box build solution without the need for outsourcing.
