Company Introduction

Northern Hi-Tec Ltd (NHT) has developed over the past 25 years into one of the UK's leading Electronic Design Consultants and Electronic Manufacturing Service Providers.

The business today reflects the same ethos of the company's original directors. We stand for flexibility, integrity and responsiveness to customer requirements and it is this approach that has allowed us to grow and develop.

The company originated in Burnley, Lancashire in 1983 but as it grew, it soon became necessary to find larger premises, and this led to a move to our current location at Wasco House in Lancaster.

In 1994, NHT acquired a local business capable of designing and manufacturing a range of graphical identification products, which led to the current NHT Industrial Graphics business with specialities including production of membrane keypads, overlays, decals, badging, labelling and rating plates, using a variety of base materials (metals, plastics etc.)

Then in 2005, due to expansion of the company, our Industrial Graphics and Electronics Design departments relocated to Hi-Tec House, a premises only 100 metres along the road from Wasco House, thereby maintaining the close working relationship of all our business sections.

Hi-Tec House also became the location of PAV Data Systems when NHT acquired it in 2007. PAV Data Systems provide Free Space Optical (FSO) Solutions providing point-to-point, wireless laser transmission for the interconnection of two data or telecommunication points with direct line-of-sight. This acquisition complimented our existing laser equipment manufacturing capability and has added significantly to our presence in this field.

Over the past 25 years, NHT has continued to invest in all areas of the business to maintain its position at the forefront of electronic design and electronic manufacturing. Offering a variety of value added services, we are able to assist our customers from the initial design concept through to manufacture of box build and turnkey solutions.
